Final Reflection

It was a wonderful experience I’ve ever had. The most successful topics for me were: Reflective Blog, ABCD, Rubrics, Improving Listening Skills, Project-based Learning and WebQuest, Interactive Power Point, Learner Autonomy, Multiple intelligences, ANVILL and LoTi Framework.
How I explained before according to my real situation I will use One Computer Class, creating a Blog, Interactive Power Points in Google doc, or surveys and these are most useful for me. All of the topics were very relevant.
First I’d like to manage this information and after I’d like to use others.

Learning Styles/Multiple Intelligences

Dear all
Psychologist Howard Gardner extended the traditional conceptualizations of intelligence based on nine “frames on mind”, according to Gardner,
  • All human beings possess all nine intelligences in varying amounts.
  • Each person has a different intellectual composition.
  • We can improve education by addressing the multiple intelligences of our students.
  • These intelligences are located in different areas of the brain and can either work independently or together.
  • These intelligences may define the human species.
As a teacher we need to discover individual abilities and one good way is to pay attention when students work in groups where each member develops his/her talent to do a project.  They work like a team, developing each talent, or doing something where each one is good and like to do it. Through Portfolio we can see students’ strength and weakness.
Best regards

Online tools for enhancing learning

The end is near what a interesting topics we have learnt. My plan draft is going well thanks to my partner Lucy. This week we explore ANVILLE something I have heard but I never do before it’s an excellent tool to improve teaching learning process. And EFL teachers will be training all time. This provides authentic materials where students can practice all skills and they can do independent at home or out of class. Voiceboard, in the context of cross cultural exchange. It involves email messages, discussions boards, Skype, or creative use of cell phones. I hope to have access to this in the future.
Online tools for enhancing learning encourage students to be autonomous, and enjoy of activities for different levels and interest. I create Google docs Adverbs and Adjectives exercises this is the linkhttps://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Avd4EvLgnxwKdDFXX0hRX19zQUxZXzdFUXk1NGRUblE&hl=en_US#gid=0.

Learner Autonomy

Dimitrios Thanasoulas quote many experts who definite Autonomy, leaner autonomy and dominant Philosophies of learning, conditions for learning Autonomy, learning strategies, cognitive strategies, metacognitive strategies, learner attitude and motivation, Self -esteem, how can learner Autonomy can be promoted, self -reports, diaries and evaluation sheets, persuasive communication as a Means of altering Learners Beliefs and Attitudes. As a conclusions Learner autonomy consists in becoming aware of, and identifying, one's strategies, needs, and goals as a learner, and having the opportunity to reconsider and refashion approaches and procedures for optimal learning. But even if learner autonomy is amenable to educational interventions, it should be recognized that it 'takes a long time to develop, and--simply removing the barriers to a person's ability to think and behave in certain ways may not allow him or her to break away from old habits or old ways of thinking' (Candy, 1991: 124). As Holyoake (1892, vol. 1, p. 4) succinctly put it, '[k]nowledge lies everywhere to hand for those who observe and think'.
About one-computer t classroom http://www.lburkhart.com/elem/strat.htm has good strategies and applications for this task an http://www.seirtec.org/present/onecomptr.html gives 7 categories of classroom computer use and issues in the One Computer Classroom.
I need to talk with my partner about Plan report, I  have some ideas but I need to put in order.  It was a productive week.

Interactive Power Point

During this week I had a lot of troubles doing Power Point.  I learned many ways how to do slides with interactive elements, in my opinion the most interesting was Interactive quiz. After trying at the end I could do it. Technology is just practice and time to research many alternatives that it provides us. In fact it will be a good idea to practice grammar in my future project plan.
http://www.garrreynolds.com/Presentation/slides.html  has good suggestions to do slides, especially when students do presentations about Touristic Places, Customs of Ecuador or topics that they choose as a lecture.
http://www.microsoft.com/education/story.mspx through hyperlinks we can do an interesting story and predict the next action.
To tell you the truth I need a Feedback about how to use these different Interactive Power Point.

Assessment

Alternative assessment http://www.nclrc.org/essentials/assessing/alternative.htm  give us free to design test not only traditional test but performance based, which help us to emphasize that the point of language learning is communication for meaningful purposes. I enjoy doing rubrics. http://rubistar.4teachers.org/  here I created one  I hope it was  Ok. http://rubistar.4teachers.org/index.php?screen=PrintRubric&rubric_id=2073026&no_return=1& , it gave me a direction and it will create a supportive classroom environment.
(http://www.ncsall.net/?id=385 .)Project –Based  Instruction by Susan Gaer change the traditional learning to interesting activities that help students to learn more for example folktales, how to talk about the family and daily life and after they produce a small book which includes stories about family, work, and weekend life. These types of projects require the students to use the material in a meaningful way.
http://www.zunal.com/ . Web Quest  has good topics that teachers can select to develop a task. They provide Introduction, task, process, evaluation, conclusion, and teacher page. http://webquest.sdsu.edu/about_webquests.html in this page explain the goal of web pages where teachers can identify topics that fit in with their curriculum and for which there are appropriate materials.
Each week is more remarkable what do you think?

Readin, Writing and Vocabulary

Receptive skill was analyzed this week. Three Extensive Reading Activities for ESC/EFL students using E-book by Mei - Ya Liang to encourage and guide students to read authentic e-texts outside of classromm. Articles, brochures, story books, etc. provide variety and rich language. "Using the Internet in ESL writing Instructions by Jarek Krajka create new opportunities for language learning. When we teach writing we need to focus on both accuracy and on building up and communicating a message through technology will be fun like http://www.manythings.org/voa/rss/ it's a good web page to expand vocabulary, reading and listening skills. When we teach writing vary a lot, depends on the age and needs of our learners.
Technology - enhanced lesson plan from the Innovative Technology Center of the University of Tennessee has similar components that we use only we can some elements like State Curriculum Standars; Nets-s (2007) Performance indicators. It's a good methodology how to use web pages.
About the Project describing issues of that technology might be able to help with. I have to monitor, plan, and evaluate it.
